Opportunity to Sponsor Syrian Refugee Learning in Windsor

The Prophet (SAW) said: “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” (Muslim)

4 Syrian children in Windsor have the chance to gain Islamic knowledge , though their families cannot afford it. Islamic Academy Windsor is looking for individuals to sponsor their education to grant them this prospect. This is a fantastic way to earn thawaab for our community. Our Syrian brothers and sisters have had extreme difficulties in the past few years and this is a way we can give back. The donations to this cause can qualify as zakat or sadaqah.

One of the mothers is a widow, and all families involved are financially underprivileged. The Nabi of Allah SAW said “The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid who fights for Allah’s Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day.” (Bukhari)

3 students will be studying hifz and academics, inshaAllah, and their fees are $325 per month. 1 student will be going into Islamic school, the fee for which is $250 per month.

Any individual giving saqadah for this cause will be of service to it, and will have a share in the reward inshaAllah.

Islamic Academy Windsor has purchased a space to serve as a base for its many activities. While IAW has been instrumental in giving hundreds of students knowledge of the Deen, Qur’an, and its recitation, and further Islamic studies for over 6 years, we have never had an opportunity to secure a stable space of operations. Currently, our activities have been spread around many different places across the city. Alhamdulillah, this opportunity is now upon us, and we need the support of you, the Muslim Community, to help actualize this devotional and noorani goal.
